Terms of use
Last updated: 24 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the İşBuldum KKTC website (isbuldumkibris.com) and mobile app (together, the "service"). The service is run by independent developer Ahmet Balaman ("we"). By signing up or using the service, you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
The service
İşBuldum KKTC is a platform that brings job seekers and employers together: employers post jobs, job seekers create profiles and CVs and apply, and the parties message each other through the application. The hiring decision is made by the employer. We are not a party to the employment relationship, the employment contract or the hiring process, and we do not guarantee that you will find a job.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 16 to use the service. If you are under 18, you must use the service with the knowledge of your parent or guardian.
- A person who opens an employer account must be authorised to act on behalf of the company they represent.
Your account
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and verify your e-mail address.
- Accounts are personal. You may not open an account on someone else's behalf or under a false identity.
- You are responsible for the security of your password and of the Google or Apple account you use to sign in. If you notice any unauthorised use, change your password and write to us.
Employers' obligations
- Company information must be genuine and up to date.
- Jobs must be genuine, current and lawful. They may not contain discriminatory requirements based on gender, age, religion, ethnic origin, disability or similar grounds.
- Candidates may not be asked to pay any fee, whether for applying, training, documents, the job itself or any other purpose.
- Candidate information received through applications may be used only for the recruitment concerned. It may not be shared with third parties, sold or used for marketing. The employer is itself the data controller for the candidate information it receives and must comply with applicable data protection law.
- Correspondence with candidates must relate only to the application.
Job seekers' obligations
- Profile and CV information must be accurate.
- You must have a person's permission before adding them as a reference.
- You must apply only out of genuine interest in the job.
User content
You are responsible for the jobs, company information, profiles and CVs, application notes, messages and reports you add to the service. Your content remains yours. You grant us a free licence only to the extent needed to provide the service: to store the content, show it to you and the relevant users, forward it to the employers you apply to, convert your CV to PDF, and publish live jobs and verified company pages publicly. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, as described in the privacy policy.
The İşBuldum KKTC name, logo, design and software belong to us; they may not be copied or used without our permission.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are prohibited on the service, and we apply a zero-tolerance policy to them:
- Posting jobs that are fake, misleading or do not exist.
- Asking candidates for fees, deposits, or bank or card details; scams and pyramid schemes.
- Jobs involving illegal work, undeclared employment or unlawful child labour.
- Discriminatory, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene or sexual content.
- Sharing other people's personal data without permission or impersonating someone else.
- Spam, unsolicited advertising and commercial offers unrelated to jobs.
- Spreading malware, trying to get around security measures, overloading the system or collecting data from the service with automated tools.
- Infringing other people's intellectual property rights.
Reporting and blocking
- You can report an inappropriate job, company or conversation to us with the "Report" button. You can also report a user you have been in contact with through an application. Reports are reviewed by our administrators.
- Only the employer can start a conversation. Job seekers can block an employer: a blocked company cannot message you or start a new conversation with you, and you will not receive urgent job notifications from that company. You can remove the block in your account settings.
- Employers can also block the candidate of an application on behalf of their company: a blocked candidate cannot message that company or apply to its jobs. The block can be removed on the application page.
- If you suspect a crime or there is an immediate danger, also contact the competent authorities.
Verification and moderation
- Companies are verified by our administrators before they can post jobs. If a verified company's name or tax number changes, the company is reviewed again.
- Jobs are reviewed before they are published. Changes to a live job, other than to the number of openings and the application deadline, send the job back for review. A job without an application deadline stays live for 30 days; the end date can be at most 90 days ahead and can be extended before it passes. Expired jobs close automatically.
- As a result of reports, we may take a job down, withdraw a company's verification (in which case all of the company's live jobs are closed), remove content or close an account.
- We do not screen messages before they are sent; we may review reported conversations. Verification is not a guarantee that an employer or a job is trustworthy.
Fees
At present the entire service, including posting jobs, is free and we do not take any payments. If we offer paid job packages for employers in the future, we will announce the prices and terms in advance; paid services will apply only to those who buy them. Applying, creating CVs and messaging are free for job seekers.
Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account settings page on the website or the Profile tab in the mobile app. For the data that is deleted, see the privacy policy.
- We may warn, remove the content of, suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, are used for illegal purposes, provide false information or put other users at risk. In serious cases we may do so without prior notice. If your account is suspended or closed, you will be informed by e-mail, together with the reason; while it is suspended, you cannot sign in and your jobs are taken down. You can appeal the decision by writing to info@isbuldumkibris.com.
- If we decide to discontinue the service entirely, we will announce it in advance.
Limitation of liability
- We provide the service as is. We do not guarantee that it will run without interruptions or errors; we may pause it for maintenance and updates.
- The user who adds jobs, company information and CVs is responsible for their accuracy. We are not responsible for conversations between users, the employment relationship, or disputes over pay and similar matters.
- Never pay an employer. Be careful when sharing identity or bank details, and report a suspicious job straight away.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit or loss of data. Our liability for intent or gross negligence, and any liability that cannot be limited by law, remain unaffected.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current text is always on this page, and the date at the top changes. We announce important changes on the website and in the app, or by e-mail. If you continue to use the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The courts and enforcement offices of Nicosia (Lefkoşa) have jurisdiction over disputes. Your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live that cannot be waived by contract remain unaffected.
